Winner and Robin show Class
A fair size crowd turned out for this midweek meeting and they were rewarded with some good action on the track.
The first race was a good race for the grade on paper and ws won in fine style by the gorgeous chestnut Winner Massagot trained by Alan King.
He had run at Newbury earlier in the season and walking roud the parade ring then he looked like a nice horse for the future. He travelled well that day before tiring over the last few. This day however he again travelled nicely down to the last before pulling away on the run in.
This was a solid effort which teed him up for Aintree, but he was sadly a faller there when ultimatley beaten. Surely whatever he achieved this season was going to be a bonus and he looks like a nice type for the future.
The final race on the card went to the classy Robins Reef. In the paddock she stood out and in the race it was no exception careering away to win by 8 lengths. Novice hurdles will surely be a formality next season.
