2015 begins at Brighton
The 2015 flat season at Brighton got underway with an evening meeting, and expectations were high from the start, with the first race favourite being a well supported Irish hotpot in the shape of the two year old speedball Taexali ridden by Shane Foley.
Shane was having his first ride at the track and when interviewed regarding the unique characteristics of Brighton he seemed confident of making it a winning one.
The race itself appeared a formality with the runner up Jet Setting seemingly flattered by the proxinity to the winner at the line, having been blown away between the 2 furlong and furlong markers.. Shane Foley is 100% at Brighton and until the second race he was the top rider at Brighton this season !
From then John Egan stole the show with a double courtesy of Roy Rocket not to be "muddled" with Wocket Woy, and the battling Baileys En Premier who carried the famous Baileys Horse Feed colours of Mr Baileys to success.
